Introduction to Marriage at Christ Church

It is our great delight to welcome couples for either a traditional Marriage service, a Civil Marriage blessing or a Marriage thanksgiving on a particular anniversary.

Each service is profoundly personal and takes place after due preparation, typically about 3 sessions. Each year, in January we also hold a group session for all our prospective couples on the theme of growing together in Love. This explores understanding, communication, sexuality, conflict and spirituality. Our couples always find these sessions great fun and full of practical wisdom.

If you would like to talk to us about marriage or your preparations then please contact our Parish Clerk Carol Simmons at the parish office. Due to current Covid restrictions, for your safety, the majority of meetings are virtual at the moment. Carol will be pleased to arrange to meet with you virtually, just contact her to make arrangements. She has several social media platforms available to hold meetings, so we are sure she can meet your needs in this way until restrictions ease.If you wish to telephone, our opening hours are;
