We don’t receive any grants or subsidies from the Anglican church or Government. All the funds needed to keep our church and its work going are provided by regular donations, legacies and fundraising. Our congregation, Friends and Supporters provide vital funds each year to ensure that the Church is always available – whether it be for regular worship, Weddings, Funerals Christenings, festivals or concerts. If you consider yourself part of our Community, then please give some thought to how you might be able to help us.
However you choose to give, your gift is gratefully received. Please do read the section about Gift Aid below to ensure that we can maximise the value of your donation.
Via the Parish Giving Scheme - Christ Church subscribes to the Parish Giving Scheme (P.G.S.) which is run by Bristol Diocese. This is our favoured way to give to us regularly. Those wishing to donate monthly or annually can sign up for the P.G.S. and set up a Direct Debit with them. The main advantage of this method is that it saves us administration and improves our cashflow by ensuring that your donation and the tax reclaimable on it (if you are a taxpayer) is paid to us by the 10th of each month. Request a PGS sign up form here.

Via Standing order directly to Christ Church -Giving by P.G.S. is preferred but you can also complete a regular standing order
in favour of Christ Church. You can download a Standing order & Gift aid form (if you are a taxpayer) at the top of this page.
Once completed, return the Standing order form directly to your bank and the Gift Aid form to the parish office or
Gift Aid Secretary form here
Via One-off or occasional donations – Please ensure that if you are a taxpayer, you make your gift using one of the Gift Aid envelopes
that can be found at the back of the church.
Gift Aid allows charities to reclaim tax paid on donations from individuals. At the present rate of tax, a £10 donation is increased by £2.50.
All that is required is for an individual to be a UK taxpayer and to have paid at least as much tax as the charity reclaims on their gifts
in a year. Try the calculator above to show how much extra we can reclaim on your gifts to Christ church using Gift Aid.
Anyone who has paid enough income tax or capital gains tax in the current financial year to cover the amount
we have reclaimed. So, if you give £100 you need to have paid at least £25 in income tax or capital gains tax.
Use the Gift Aid calculator at the top of this page to calculate other amounts and see how much your gift can be
enhanced by a simple Gift Aid declaration.
