Swindon’s popular Old Town Autumn Fayre is returning to Christ Church on Saturday 17^th September 12noon – 4pm.  The vintage style event which is held in the church grounds and Community Centre is packed with stalls and activities for all the family.

 This year Dragon’s Den winners Sublime Science will be entertaining the children (and adults too) with their spectacular whizzy experiments, gooey slime, magic, smoke and fizzing potions as well as the odd flying rocket!

Delicious food outlets and live music from the superb Bill Bailey Jazz Band, vintage swing boats and traditional games from Hoopla to a Penalty Shoot Out, add to the fun in this FREE to enter event.

 This is definitely a day for foodies too. Enjoy the real ale and cider tent, or indulge in a gorgeous cake in the decorative Tea Garden. If you fancy hot and savoury there will be sizzling paella, a barbeque with locally sourced burgers and sausages and Caribbean street food dishes.

There’ll be craft and heritage stalls, plants to brighten up your garden, local produce and a bee and honey stand.   You can try your hand at bell ringing a mere 46 steps up into the church tower, and discover more about Swindon’s heritage and the 1^st World War.  There will also be an opportunity to search your own family history on –line with expert help.
