This traditional style fayre in Christ Church grounds and new Community Centre will be held on Saturday 12th September 12noon – 4pm. With delicious food outlets, and live music from the superb Bill Bailey Jazz Band, vintage swing boats and traditional games from Hoopla to Beat the Goalie, there is something to entertain the whole family in this free to enter event.

Find out about the items on offer and make a bid here.
Craft stalls and Local Produce
If a spell in the stocks isn’t your thing, there’ll be craft and heritage stalls, plants to brighten up your garden and local produce to purchase. If you are feeling fit you can try your hand at bell ringing a mere 46 steps up into the church tower!
Event Organiser Daphne Hardwick said: “After the success of last year when so many local families enjoyed the fayre we are delighted to be introducing more new features and look forward to a another wonderful local community event. It’s going to be great fun and we look forward to seeing lots of people on the day. The new Community Centre @Christ Church which was opened by Nick Hewer last year has proved a massive hit with local groups and has provided a lovely new venue to support the Old Town Autumn Fayre.”

Partnership of Churches Birthday Celebration in the Bowl – Sunday 14 June
churchadmin2015-07-11T00:46:51+01:00
On behalf of the organising committee, may I offer sincere thanks to all those in the three churches of the Partnership, and further afield, who contributed to the success of the Partnership Birthday celebrations last Sunday. I am very grateful to all who attended on the day – an astonishing 400 – as well as those who took part in the items on the Bowl stage, those who organised displays, and those who acted as stewards and who helped in many other ways such as transport and the refreshment marquee, and especially to the ministers in the three churches, for their encouragement and support. We were fortunate in having sun and no rain on the day – prayers answered. The bucket collection raised £240 towards the Brighter Futures appeal for the new radiotherapy unit at GWH.

Old Town Beer Festival 2015 – Christ Church
churchadmin2015-05-25T17:43:28+01:00Christ Church is one of the few remaining historic buildings in everyday use in Swindon. It is grade II * listed but receives no government or central grants. It therefore relies on the goodwill and generosity of its congregation, friends and local community to continue its role of providing baptism, marriage and funeral services to Swindon. The Beer festival plays a big part in raising funds for and awareness of Christ Church in the area. More than 600 people sampled the hospitality at Christ Church (and the beer and cider).
