Ride &amp; Stride is an annual event that invites particpants to visit as many churches as possible in a day. Sponsorship can be per church visited or a fixed amount. It&#8217;s an ideal family day out &#8211; many of the churches have welcomers who offer refreshments and fascinating information about their church.<br\/>Participants can take part on a bike, on foot or on horseback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img class=\"lazyload\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns%3D%27http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg%27%20width%3D%272048%27%20height%3D%271487%27%20viewBox%3D%270%200%202048%201487%27%3E%3Crect%20width%3D%272048%27%20height%3D%271487%27%20fill-opacity%3D%220%22%2F%3E%3C%2Fsvg%3E\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/www.christchurchswindon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Ride-Stride.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"3050\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.christchurchswindon.co.uk\/blog\/?attachment_id=3050\"\/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br\/>Half of the money raised goes to Christ Church with St Mary&#8217;s, the other half to the Wiltshire Historic Churches Trust, enabling it to give grants for the upkeep and enhancement of churches and chapels around the county.\u00a0<br\/>\u00a0There is no enrollment fee \u2013 just get a sponsorship form and instructions from Arline tel. 520691\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:royandarline@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">royandarline@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0or the parish office and then plan your own route.\u00a0 Whether you simply walk from one local church to another or more ambitiously aim to cycle to fifty churches, you are welcome. Don&#8217;t fancy the challenge &#8211; You can still take part. We are looking for volunteers to man Christ Church or St Mary&#8217;s to welcome our visitors on the day.
