Christ Church is one of the few remaining historic buildings in everyday use in Swindon. It is grade II * listed but receives no government or central grants. It therefore relies on the goodwill and generosity of its congregation, friends and local community to continue its role of providing baptism, marriage and funeral services to Swindon. The Beer festival plays a big part in raising funds for and awareness of Christ Church in the area. More than 600 people sampled the hospitality at Christ Church (and the beer and cider).
