Operation Christmas Child is the world’s largest children’s Christmas project, run by the Christian charity Samaritan’s Purse. They have been sending gift-filled shoeboxes around the world since 1990, bringing joy and the hope of Jesus Christ into the lives of over 100 million underprivileged children.

Right now,churchgoers across the UK are busy wrapping,packing and filling shoeboxes with great little gifts for children in need overseas.

The deadline for boxes is Sunday November 17th so there is plenty of time to get your shoebox ready. This is what you need:

1. Get hold of an empty shoebox, some wrapping paper and some little gifts – what sort of gifts should I include – how do I pack the box? read more here
2. Visit this page to make your £2.50 shipping donation or put it in an envelope and attach it to your shoebox
3. Bring your shoebox to sunday club (@10.00am Sunday service)or drop it into the parish office (36 Cricklade Street) in good time for the 17th November.
