Christ Church History

Christ Church has had many faithful documenters over the years. Denis Bird provided us with a great archive of historic photographs of Christ Church through the years. Brian Bridgeman and Teresa Squires compiled the story of Christ Church, Parish Church of Swindon and its Community 1851-2001.

There is also a brilliant resource developed by Duncan and Mandy Ball [ here ] which contains pictures of the church and its surroundings as well as a listing and photographs of many of the gravestones

The Armin-Grewe site also has some nice old photographs of Swindon.

Most of our parish records are now housed in the county record archives. The Swindon Central library also holds copies.
